Brinqa Sponsors The American Legacy Awards Gala

Brinqa recently sponsored the American Legacy Awards, a gala event honoring Minnesota's finest in community achievement, literary arts, and entertainment. With the theme of "Celebrating Achievers; Connecting the Past, Present and Future Leaders," the event celebrated individuals who have accomplished notable acts or exemplify community leadership. A special tribute was presented to Adilah Barnes, an award-winning actor of stage, television and film. Entertainment included national and local groups such as opera singer James Earl Jones II, The Metropolitan Boys Choir and Excelsior, a choral ensemble. Rohan Preston, Star Tribune theater critic and Emmy Award winner, served as the master of ceremonies.

On April 10, Brinqa joined several organizations committed to excellence in sponsoring the American Legacy Awards Gala in Minneapolis. We were so pleased to participate in an inspiring event that honors individuals who are committed to positive change."

Distinguished honorees of the American Legacy Awards included:

Representative Bobby Champion (District 58B): Community Leadership Award
Dr. William Green, Minneapolis Public Schools Superintendent: Education Award
Pastor Efrem Smith, The Sanctuary CDS: Spiritual Well-Being Award
Greta Oglesby, actor: Performing Arts Award
Keith Wyche, President, Cub Foods Retail Group: Legacy Corporate Leadership Award

Proceeds from the event funded the Adilah Barnes Literary Art Scholarship supporting Minneapolis Public School Arts Achievement Program. This event was presented by X-CEL Entertainment Group, a diversified entertainment company specializing in corporate venues.
