The Brinqa BYOAI Marketplace: Teach Your AI to Speak Exposure Management
by Ron Dovich, CAIO//4 min read/

Every security vendor at Black Hat this year will tell you they're "AI-first." Most of them mean a chatbot bolted onto a dashboard. We've said something different for a while now: the durable advantage isn't in owning a model, it's in the data underneath it and that idea gets a little more concrete in time for Black Hat.
Brinqa's bring your own AI (BYOAI) philosophy has always been about choice: use Brinqa's native agents, bring your own and connect it to our governed data, or query the platform directly with the tools your team already runs. The Brinqa BYOAI Marketplace is the newest way to exercise that choice. It goes live with three plugins, available in both Claude Code and Claude Cowork. Add the marketplace once, and Brinqa's skills will run inside the AI environment you already use, against your own environment, with your own credentials. Install what you need, skip what you don't, and every plugin you keep updates automatically as we ship new versions, no separate download or manual reinstall required.
Many of the people who depend on exposure data every day never log into Brinqa directly. The SOC analyst triaging alerts, the cloud ops engineer chasing down an unowned asset, the AppSec lead who wants one clean answer instead of five conflicting scanner outputs. They would all rather utilize whatever AI tool is already running in their terminal. The marketplace now gives them the ability to teach those AI Agents Brinqa skills.
The goal of the marketplace is to create a community built for Brinqa partners and customers to create and share skills to improve AI Agents for two different jobs:
- The teams administering Brinqa day-to-day
- The end users querying the platform for their own work.
We’re launching this at Black Hat to share how we are extending our vision for BYOAI, but its purpose extends well beyond the conference. We are building a community of Brinqa customers and partners to create and share skills to train their AI Agents to deliver exposure management outcomes.
What's available today
Custom Deployment Documentation
Writing a customer-facing user guide for a Brinqa deployment usually means someone on the team blocking out a day to document settings by hand, then redoing it every time the configuration changes. Custom Deployment Documentation generates that guide directly from a settings export ZIP so what used to be a manual writing task becomes a five-minute export.
Connector Debugger
Creating a connector for data ingestion means identifying and syncing files to the Brinqa Platform and data errors may not be found until after the connector executes, resulting in time consuming troubleshooting. The Connector Debugger allows someone to execute a Connector and generate parquet files that can be inspected prior to running a data sync within the Brinqa Platform.
Orchestration Status Tracker
Stakeholders who want to know how data is flowing into Brinqa don't always want, or have access to, the platform itself. Orchestration Status Tracker takes a screenshot of your orchestration flow and turns it into a formatted, color-coded PDF status report, built for sharing with the people who need the answer, not the login
Where This Goes From Here
Today we have launched the marketplace with three skills built for Brinqa administrators. These skills all began with one person at Brinqa noticing a task worth automating that could be taught to an AI Agent. Our vision is to grow this library into a true community with the help of Brinqa customers and partners contributing skills alongside Brinqa employees.
The next phase of the marketplace will be to focus on developing skills for the teams working with Brinqa data every day. The teams who operate the SOC, IT Ops, Cloud Ops, AppSec and security leaders who are leveraging AI Agents for access to exposure management data.

FAQs
It's a catalog of Brinqa-built plugins for Claude Code and Claude Cowork that teach AI agents how to complete real Brinqa tasks, so agents work faster and reach value sooner.
All three plugins are available in both Claude Code and Claude Cowork.
BYOAI is Brinqa's model for supporting any AI strategy in exposure management: use Brinqa's native agents, bring your own and connect it to Brinqa's governed data, or query the platform directly with the tools your team already runs. The Brinqa BYOAI Marketplace is the newest expression of that philosophy, giving teams a shelf of ready-made skills instead of an integration they have to build from scratch.
No, it links your GitHub ID to Brinqa's private repository. Plugins then run on your own machine. Future plugins may process vulnerability data but users will control what data is used.
